Vienna Ditto- I Know His Blood
Vienna Ditto got together at the beginning of 2009, bonded by a love of dirty Chicago blues, dark psychedelia and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. A hastily-recorded demo from their second rehearsal was picked by Linda Serck on BBC Berks and ended up being played on Huw Stephen’s Radio One show, earning the band an appearance on the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury 2009 (the band’s second ever gig). They have since been given a Maida Vale session for Tom Robinson on BBC6, and have appeared on Channel 4’s excruciating Hollyoaks Music Show.
We stumbled across this band on Soundcloud. I Know His Blood entranced us from the second we heard Hatty Taylor's ethereal vocals and their tripped out psychedelic/grunge/shoegazer take on this Blind Willie Johnson classic. When it comes to categorizing a band or sound, things get a bit complex, this band has been described as Voodoo/SciFi/Blues/Industrial/Gospel, which makes us even more curious and stoked to hear more from this UK band.

Accomplished, haunting and captivating, that is Laura Marling.
During October 2012, Marling completed the 'Working Holiday Tour' of the US as a solo performer. At the time, she announced that the fourth album, later named Once I Was an Eagle, was finished. Unlike her previous three albums, she chose not to work with a band, and instead she enlisted the help of producer Ethan Johns and cellist, Ruth de Turberville.
Marling has stated that there is a greater cohesion to 'Once I Was An Eagle', in terms of themes and the development of the music. Many critics have noted that the first half feels more like a continuous idea, exacerbated by the first four songs ("Take The Night Off", "I Was An Eagle", "You Know" and "Breathe") which flow together as one. It was released in 2013 and shot to #3 on the British charts.
Our favorite tune is Master Hunter, we hope you will like it too.
